Learning to Connect

Many children on the autism spectrum find social interaction challenging. Our Social Skills & Group Activities provide a safe, predictable environment where children can practice interacting with their peers under the gentle guidance of our staff.

Key Social Lessons

  • Turn-Taking & Waiting: Learning the patience needed for group games and conversations.
  • Sharing & Cooperation: Working together on tasks to achieve a common goal.
  • Understanding Emotions: Recognizing and responding to the feelings and social cues of others.
  • Functional Communication: Practicing how to ask for help, say hello, and express needs to peers.

Why Group Play Matters

  • Reducing Isolation: Helping children feel like they are part of a community.
  • Safe Practice: Providing a controlled space to try out new social behaviors without fear.
  • Real-World Readiness: Preparing children for the social demands of the classroom and beyond.
